It is a gentle way of processing through traumatic events from early life that lead to unhelpful behavior when we become adults.To start understanding of what may be holding you back, think of the times when you engage is destructive or unhelpful behaviors.What do emotion(s) do you usually feel before, during, or after that behavior?For example, if you avoid calling people you need to you may feel anxiety or apathy beforehand.You can then ask yourself, "What would I have to believe is true on some level in order to feel apathy and avoid making a phone call?"And then say out loud what it might be and see how it feels.These limiting beliefs are always in simple language like, "I'm no good." or "Nothing I do matters." or "I can't get anything right."Once you know the belief, you can begin removing it by looking at where it formed in your past and seeing through the belief to a more objective perspective on what happened.That can be difficult to do by yourself, I've tried, so it's helpful to get a professional who can walk you through the process and help you find greater objectivity.If you would like my help with eliminating limiting beliefs send me a message!"...after the call, that evening when I spoke with my fiancé...the shift was incredible.
