As a manager in the professional service team, I work on a range of engagements to help clients understand risks to their business, developing pragmatic and effective solutions, controls, and security architectures. This involves:- Conducting gap analysis and detailed assessments of client environments to identify areas of improvement - with a focus on governance, risk and controls;- Providing bespoke advice on information security and data privacy-related issues;- Developing controls and solutions to help clients better manage their cyber security risks;- Building cyber security programs to meet a range of regulatory and business challenges.

Worked with senior management to identify, manage and mitigate operational risks, and oversee the company’s information security management system as both Data Protection Officer and Information Security Officer. Responsible for reviewing and amending policies and procedures; implementing internal tech projects; shaping IT strategy and upgrades; and ensuring highest standards of data protection and cybersecurity. As Head of Project Management in the cyber team, oversaw the operational delivery of projects. This included, calculating project budgets, planning effort and resources required at each stage of project delivery to ensure profitability, keeping on top of key deliverables, and running washup and QA sessions to maintain the quality of client offerings. Also shaped the development of the Cyber Due Diligence service line.

Working alongside the COO at S-RM in a strategic delivery secondment. This role involved working closely with the Board at S-RM, as well as department and business unit heads on a range of projects, which I managed and coordinated. As part of this secondment, I also sat in on management committee and board meetings, giving me a fantastic insight into how the business works, and have given input into high-profile commercial challenges, including the development of business strategy. Projects I have been heavily involved in include:– Development of S-RM’s strategy at BU and department level. This has involved working with individuals across the business and adding input into long-term commercial and operational strategies.– Problem solving in relation to a number of key operational matters – for instance, sub contractor management, conflicts of interest and processes/procedures around managing these risks.– Implementation of new business-critical initiatives – such as the launch of Microsoft Teams in the company and an entirely new recruitment process.– Delivery of business-led projects – such as our first Annual Client Survey.– Day-to-day support to the Board and in committee meetings.

Beginning as an analyst on the Russia & CIS desk, combined regional expertise, keen analytical skills and an intimate knowledge of client needs to manage a range of operational, regulatory and reputational risks on behalf of clients primarily in the Russia & CIS region.- As a senior manager on the Russia & CIS desk, played an integral role in maintaining the quality of the output on the desk and built strong client relationships.- Oversaw 4 direct reports and was also responsible for helping shape and develop the strategy of the team, including in hiring, business development.

I was responsible for shaping the growth strategy for the Landlord Home Services insurance portfolio identifying and delivering short to long term initiatives to enhance product performance. This included monitoring and managing the performance of products for Landlords, working with various MI teams to track key performance metrics and leading a refresh of product Features and Benefits for landlords.I also reacted to compliance and commercial challenges, launching new initiatives to drive growth and liaised with senior leadership to drive strategic developments.

I was responsible for the project management and delivery of marketing campaigns through the British Gas Loyalty channel. I advised on the best route for delivery in terms of timing, channel and customer segment, utilising DM, EM and Digital channels with a range innovative ways to promote our Loyalty programme.I displayed excellent stakeholder management to help maintain our partnership with Nectar and work with internal stakeholders. I was also responsible for the team’s marketing spend and budget, led in review of the Nectar contract, and managed major comms changes across all channels.

I joined British Gas straight from university as an Assistant Marketing Manager in the Customer Communications team. I was primarily responsible for the updating and delivery of correspondence literature for a variety of projects to demanding timescales. Heavily involved in work on regulatory/compliance issues, a highly important consideration in so tightly regulated an industry.

As part of my Russian and History degree, I spent 10 months teaching English at two different schools to native Russian speakers from Elementary to Advanced level. I had full responsibility for the content, quality and delivery of the lessons and also performed a number of technical translation tasks from Russian to English and vice versa.
