The Head of Digital Workplace Services & Experience is responsible for the strategy and delivery of digital workplace technology and services.

Fully accountable for ensuring all employees across the Group (Emirates and dnata International) have access to the latest collaboration and productivity solutions and are able to achieve maximum productivity through workplace tools. As the Head of Digital Workplace I drive the transformation of the ways of working through adoption of the latest tools and adapts adoption methods in-line with the various personas in the enterprise. I am responsible to drive the implementation, support and adoption of the Group Digital Workplace services globally (500+ locations) and ensure all employees in the group (100,000+) are equipped with technology that helps them perform their daily tasks effectively in the most optimal manner with a maximum end-user experience.

In this role I had full responsibility to define, plan, manage and implement the medium to long term strategy for all infrastructure technology areas. This covers design, capacity planning, and availability management of infrastructure products in line with objectives defined within IT Infrastructure Management. Responsible for providing appropriate system administration, technical support, including Problem and Incident Management as infrastructure experts, and project support for efficient functioning of the relevant infrastructure technologies to various sections in IT. I also manage and operate the data centre technologies and facilities, ensuring that the data centre operations do meet the availability and performance requirements of the Emirates Group. Leadership and management of 5 direct reports and 115 indirect reports absorbing a growth of 20% year over year without increase of headcount by introduction of automation, process- and productivity improvements.

In this role I was responsible to plan, develop, deploy and manage IT Operations, including Service Desk support across the entire the Emirates Group, ensuring coordination of all operational services, with the aim to formulate and review of strategies towards achieving customer service goals as committed in the Service Level Objectives. In this role I transformed the department into a consolidated group. I defined a strategy to change the way operations is managed. After the subsequent approval I changed the setup of IT Service Centre and Operations by merging the teams and creating the Technical Operations Centre (TOC) including the creation of the role of the Duty Manager who is in charge of the day-to-day operations of IT. This increased the meantime between failures by 20% and reduced the incident response time by 35%.

In my role I was responsible for the IT operation and infrastructure of the Zurich Branch and Small Offices across the world. Part of the role also included the responsibility for outsourcing contracts (EDS) for server infrastructure, technical field support, and disaster recovery services. I also had to manage SOX compliance.
