Responsible for regional agenda in the areas of Non-Quality Cost (overspend/scrap reduction across whole supply chain) and Sustainability in a Generation (factories energy efficiency improvement, water footprint reduction) within Mars Petcare Russia Industrial Engineering team.- Strategy development & implementation in above areas to deliver regional business goals. Data analysis, monitoring the established KPIs, introduction of new ones, if necessary. - Full-cycle leading of regional x-functional projects aimed for process/energy efficiency including CAB planning and project team leadership. Drive for long term performance improvement across Cost & Productivity.

Responsible for quality, food safety, new product and process launches on 65+ kT annual volume factory:- Development, maintenance and improvement of quality&food safety management system with achieving Right First Time value >99% - Launch of capital Q&FS factory projects with 50 MRUB total budget- Annual factory ISO22000 certification/re-certification at Lloyd's Register - Leading the high-performing team of 6 technologists

- Leading the team of 6 associates, aimed to deliver next gen solutions in the area of palatability, claims&methodology development and nutritional compliance- Providing trainings for the Mars community to improve and support technical expertise- Accountable for setting-up the research strategy answering current and future business needs and implementation of innovative approaches to handle high project complexity

- Lead extensive development program to expand sustainable supply base for dry and wet pet food with no compromise to product performance, quality and appearance- Identify opportunities to increase company flexibility in formulation and raw materials usage- Lead the team of 3 raw material and formulation technologists

- Develop and execute global palatability research projects supporting Strategic PetCare business objectives and Global Applied Science (GAS) Palatability Program goals.- Contribute to maintenance, improvement, accumulation and extension of GAS Community expertise in palatability.

- With partner groups (LMU, Munich and Nanion Technologies GmbH, Munich) performed experimental and theoretical studies for design of “smart screening” of DNA conformational changes as well as fast, cheap and label-free readout of DNA sequences (so-called “$1000 genome”). Another part of collaboration was focused on the research of biophysical properties of DNA aptamers for their therapeutic applications as they can be employed for multiple decease treatment.- In collaboration with group from Utah State University, USA developed peptide-based nanosensors. We demonstrated that such sensors can be used with success for probing the DNA interactions with the membrane to study its conformational changes and formation of complexes (i.e. with DNA-binding proteins) and, in perspective, for creation of logic gates for bioelectronic machines.

Within EU Project “Molecular mechanisms of antibiotic translocation”, together with partner groups from Pharmaceutical, Life Science industry and academia we investigated transport of novel antibiotics through various bacterial porins by combining various techniques. Also for research improvement novel high-throughput screening devices from partner group were tuned and implemented. By using such multidisciplinary approach it’s possible to overcome the limitations of every particular method and obtain the real picture of translocation mechanism. Results allowed to predict the optimal antibiotic structure which can be directly applied in pharmaceutical industry for development of highly efficient antibacterial drugs.
