Intermediate-level of maintenance:• Maintained, repaired, rebuilt, tested and certified F/A-18 Jet Fighters’ F404 / F414 Engines through scheduled and unscheduled maintenance;• Inspected and evaluated engines and their subsystems such as control systems, electro-mechanical controls, auxiliary components, cables, liquid fuel lines, air ducts, igniters, hydraulic actuators, fuel valves and hardware;• Conducted visual / borescope inspection of internal components, compressor, combustion sections, turbines, blades, fuel nozzles and afterburner lining;• Investigated, troubleshot and evaluated technical issues through visual / borescope inspection, replacement / adjustment of components via maintenance publications;• Repaired and replaced engine sections, components and hardware;• Performed range of engine tests in a test cell in accordance with engine manufacturer’s maintenance documentation;• Evaluated and interpreted the data during and after the engine test and operation;• Conducted analysis of engine performance to meet flight performance requirements before certification;• Documented all phases of maintenance / repair work from receiving engine, equipment or part through work performed and reviewed to completion. Experience in the US Naval Station Mayport at Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron as an Aircraft Maintenance Operations Manager with additional roles such as Collateral Duty Quality Assurance Representative / Collateral Duty Inspector (CDQAR/CDI) consists of Operational-level of maintenance on aerial vehicle SH-60B and SH-60R Helicopter and their components. Operational-level of maintenance:• Maintained SH-60B Helicopters through scheduled and unscheduled maintenance;• Performed scheduled Phase inspections, repair and rebuild of gearboxes, rotor heads, fuel tanks and fuel lines;• Replaced turboshaft engines, gearboxes, drive shafts, auxiliary power unit, rotor blades, fuel tanks and their components;• Conducted visual inspection of all components before and after each flight;• Analyzed vibration data and adjusted main and tail rotor head, and drive shafts;• Tested the integrity of fuel tanks and fuel lines;• Troubleshot and addressed technical issues in accordance with maintenance publications.Other duties:• Assigned duties / supervised distribution;• Liaised with Maintenance Control, Logistics, and other departments;• Managed parts replacement and shipping for repair orders in conjunction with Logistics.• Trained new Aircraft Mechanics and new Plane Captains (ground personnel that recover, launch and inspect helicopters).Held US Government Secret Security Clearance.
