Coordinating activities of law firms representing Russian Federation in the area of international investment arbitration

Starting from July 2010, under my Chairmanship the Board of Directors approved 83 projects exceeding EUR 900 million. The Bank also changed its reporting and functional currency from SDR to EUR, issued its debut CHF 200 million bond, expanded and enhanced cooperation with Development Finance Institutions, substantially upgraded its essential policies. As a result of solid credit profile, strong balance sheet and capitalization, prudent risk management and consistent profitability, the BSTDB was twice upgraded by Moody’s (from Baa1 to A2) and obtained first credit rating of A from S&P becoming the best-rated institution in the Black Sea region and one of the highest-rated banks in CEE/CIS.

In my capacity of VP Banking I oversaw all banking operations of the BSTDB. I was member of the Management, Credit and Assets/Liabilities Committees of the Bank. I reviewed all investment and loan proposals before consideration by the Credit Committee and the Board of Directors and coordinated the formulation of the Bank’s strategy to effectively and efficiently promote its activities in 11 countries of operations.

As Director of Department of Economic Cooperation, I was responsible for a wide range of issues pertaining to Russia's participation in international economic and financial relations. Among other things, I was Russian G8 Foreign Affairs Sous-Sherpa, Russian Director to the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank, member of the Russian Governmental Commission on Accession to the WTO and the OECD, head of the Russian Interagency Delegation on Accession to the Asian Development Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank.

In all successive positions I was actively involved in promotion of Russia's economic and financial relations with foreign countries.
