Chamber Choir “Pokroff” was found in 1993 by conductor and trumpeter Andrey Goryachev.“Pokroff” choir is unique ensemble because its repertoire harmonically combines very deep and well thought-out interpreting of orthodox sacred music and absolutely new perusal of the secular choral literature – national songs, popular romances and well known songs of the Great Patriotic War. Since 2000 the choir has doing concert tours not only in its motherland, but abroad: Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Italy, France, Croatia, BiH, Montenegro, Estonia, Ukraine and Moldova. Concert tours and participation in many international projects of the European Broadcasting Union had brought to the “Pokroff” the fame. “Pokroff” makes intercultural dialog. That is why choir was named “singing ambassadors” by European press.
