Performed tasks such as: - extensive research in order to gather up to date information and data so to portray the profiles of the most important sector companies, along with an appraisal of their market shares- presentation of the total market size; examination of the factors which affect the demand; analysis of the financial data of the concerned companies and sectors,- definition of the competitive environment and examination of the problems and prospects for each sector- detailed comparison of the basic financing indicators of a particular company related to that of the sector’s (benchmarking).

About the company:Tradmet Limited is principally a physical trader and brokerage business specialising in non-ferrous metals, stainless steel and steel scrap. Operating in the primary, recyclables and secondary sectors, the company trades in multiples of container loads and break-bulk quantities.My main responsibilities included drawing up new contracts necessary for the confirmation of buying products from suppliers and selling products to customers. Also, I was in constant contact with the brokers in order to continue the process of shipping goods, after they have received the contracts.Additionally, during my time at Tradmet Ltd, the business owner who is also the trader, having nearly 30 years experience in metals, has introduced me to the way London Metal Exchange (LME) works.

During my student placement, I was working at a branch and mainly dealing with several customer service issues (from activating debit and credit cards, to providing general information regarding consumer loans, interest rates etc). However, after the first week of employment my duties expanded and, apart from customer service, I was cooperating with an experienced colleague, in order to implement customer evaluation to customers who had applied for consumer loans.
