General:Scientific computing and numerical analysis. General UNIX/Linux/Windows applications development and support. System and network support. Geothermal reservoir modeling using TOUGH2/iTOUGH2. Support and continuing development of various in-house simulation tools utilized by Vatnaskil engineers and customers.Code development:In charge of integrating new simulation tools (TOUGH2/iTOUGH2) into an existing suite of programs previously developed by Vatnaskil. Modifying, testing and standardizing existing simulation tool for traffic related air pollution dispersion modeling. Geothermal modeling:Responsible for setting up a numerical models using the iTOUGH2 simulation package, calibrating the model and make predictions based on a production model. Worked on models for Hengill geothermal area in Southwest Iceland, Þeistareykir geothermal area in Northeast Iceland and Reykjanes/Svartsengi field in Southwest Iceland.Scientific outreach:Assisted with setting up and calibrating a model for the Olkaria geothermal filed in central Kenya using TOUGH2/iTOUGH2.Assist students at the UNU-GTP (The United Nations University, Geothermal Program) with various accepts of geothermal, and general modeling work.

Developed, tested, and standardized a finite element code in Fortran 90/95 to calculate 3D ocean currents in bays, channels, and estuaries and the transport of contaminating substances (e.g. radioactive chemicals, acids or bases, E.coli bacteria, etc.) within them.
