"We did everything to create a unified urban ecosystem in which street residents, businesses and local authorities worked together to improve the streets of the historical center of Kyiv".Since April 10 our project has transformed into a charitable foundation. Since the beginning of the war, our co-founders Andrey Tytarenko and Andrey Kopylenko supplied our army with medicines. During trips to the cities that suffered from hostiles, I realized how much grief and pain the occupiers had brought to our people. Then came the idea to create an organization that would rebuild the de-occupied territories, so Andrey Kopylenko proposed restarting the work of "District" and expanding the idea from one street to the whole Ukraine.District #1 operates in almost all regions of Ukraine affected by the devastating impact of the war and has a number of local partners helping to expand the geography of assistance. We help with:- emergency response- humanitarian aid- livelihood opportunities - construction of new frame houses- light repairs of damaged homes Show less
