Responsible for:- Ensuring that current test automation processes, solutions, and approaches meet company standards in assigned department.- Providing test automation technical consulting during the analysis, design, implementation, deployment, and testing phases of the software development process.- Monitoring and investigating the cutting-edge test automation instruments, solutions, and practices, introducing them into the department processes.- Sharing test automation related technical information for department use.Duties and Responsibilities:- Implements best practices and methods for product testing and test automation.- Develops technical visions, specifications, proposals, and other technical documentation.- Consults several teams/projects about resolving test automation technical/organizational issues and providing essential recommendations for improvement.- Develops presentations of proposed technical solutions, approaches, and methodologies.- Performs test automation competence level evaluation of the staff and knowledge gap analysis.- Participates in company test automation competence group as a technical expert, conducts internal test automation trainings, seminars, and creates training materials.- Creates and supports knowledge libraries for internal department use.- Develops and continuously improves quality standards/metrics for test automation processes.- Establishes criteria for process quality reviews.- Investigates project areas where test automation can be introduced, analyzes return on investment and suggests technical solutions.- Communicates with clients, identifies their quality requirements, and proposes the most appropriate and effective test automation approaches.- Provides peer review of documentation and suggests substantial comments for improvements to the customer as well as to company employees. - Identifies and predicts existing and possible test automation related risks that can impact the customer.
