@ndresosorio. Full Professor at National University of Colombia from 2006 and has a great experience in Coastal Integrated Zone Management (CIZM), Marine Renewable Energy (MRE) and numerical modeling, mainly in remote sensing, development of Coastal State Indicators (CSI) and numerical modeling to hindcast and forcast (waves and tides). He has been involved in several international projects like: The European Project – CoastView (Video monitoring of coastal systems in European countries), development of the Coastal Modelling System (SMC, www.smc.unican.es) that aim to help the coastal management in the Spain, many countries in South America and Africa and the develop of a numerical model of oil spill applied to the Prestige case, among others. Also the professor Osorio has experience in several projects in center and south America. It is remarkable the participation in the Iberoamerican Networks, TANGO (Remote Sensing applied to risk coastal management) and IBERMAR (CIZM in South America) with the participation of several countries (Panama, Dominic Republic, Costa Rica, Mexico, Cuba, Colombia and Cuba, among others) funding by CYTED program. Professor Osorio has written several papers and presented his research in international conferences and his participation in many international consulting projects put him as a part of the international experts in Coastal Engineering , Marine Energy and CIZM in center and south America.Between 2010 and 2018, he worked in various administrative positions at UNAL, including ViceDean of Research and Extension and Director of the Innovation and Development Center of the Faculty of Mines. He has been Director of Research and Extension of the UNAL, at the Medellín campus. Professor Osorio has promoted the strategy of OPEN INNOVATION - Innovation Tour - NOVUS, managing to solve business and social challenges with more than 9 organizations.
