I am a multidisciplinary artist and creative professional based in the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas. Over the last decade, my work in the RGV has spanned music journalism, podcasting, video production, graphic design, event organizing, and all throughout, social media marketing. At the core of all of my work is the desire to bridge gaps between genres and generations throughout the RGV's creative communities.In short, I've created and operated a full-service music publication on the web, founded a record label and creative services company, and both created and hosted my own weekly music podcast. Apart from my own publication, The Photon God, I've written for Texas Monthly, Neta RGV, and The Drop magazine. In 2020, my experimental short film ‘Mall Greyhound’ screened at Future Traditions Fest in Austin, TX. In 2021, I co-founded and co-curated MIRAAA Media Festival, an experimental film and art-focused event that featured work by more than 30 artists from across the Rio Grande Valley. Also in 2021, I co-founded ENTRE, an artist-run film center and archive. ENTRE's goals are to expand community access to knowledge and resources regarding experimental and non-traditional filmmaking while also helping document the history of the Rio Grande Valley through our archival services. Through funding we've received from the Interchange Artist Grant, we have been able to finalize our 2022-2023 calendar, which will include workshops, screenings, mixers, and two seasonal filmmaking intensive courses focused on Documentary Filmmaking and Non-Linear Storytelling.
