Realising business value and encouraging employees to engage with and embrace technology is an integral and critical piece of any deployment but particularly something as end user focused as collaboration and video. Without forming a plan to consider the impact of workflows, culture, process, communication and education before, during and after a collaboration roll out then its unlikely that users will adopt, or that the initially hoped for return on investment will be realised. Here at Taleka, my role is it to apply a design thinking framework and human centred approach to help organisations innovate and discover transformational use cases for technology. Engaging with lines of business, healthcare workers, teams and users to identify how technology can simplify their workflows and most importantly "whats in it for them" to make this change, work differently and see the many benefits using these software solutions, apps and tools will provide. More recently, my passion for humancare within healthcare, has presented an opportunity to lead the innovation of an open and flexible virtual visiting solution for families to constantly connect and be at the bedside of their critically ill loved ones in ICU. Watching this solution gain momentum and help hundreds of families from feeling helpless and disconnected at such an important time in their lives has shown how important the work that we do at Taleka is. #techforgood

Mind Unplugged is a pet passion project of mine.... to work with people that are struggling to find balance between being digitally connected and living a mindful and healthy life. They have allowed those addictive hooks relating to social media, real time communication and instant gratification to take over and the result is a digital overload …causing a busy and distracted mind and affecting their ability to be calm, focused and present.Through a variety of programs both one-on-one and online, i will coach them using simple steps…..to acknowledge firstly that they need to make changes, to prioritise what is important to plug into and what is not and help them to learn healthy habits around device use and communication.My mission is to help create a community where more people are choosing to find those important moments in the day to have their Mind Unplugged from the grid of information, allowing them those moments to plug back into the things that bring them more joy such as relationships, nature and mindful activities.

I also led our APJ adoption practice coaching and enabling our partners to deliver their own Customer Success and adoption capability to customersWith the correct understanding of business outcomes, identification of the key business use cases and a change management plan, users can better realise how collaboration can improve the way they work and can create personal and work related benefits to their role, life and work balance.Having the right people and process to support and optimize utilization is key. The outcomes are to ensures a successful adoption is proven and people are seeing life changing benefits from new technologies. its key also that an ROI is realised so that further investment can be made.
