This included setting up new Treasury, Tax and Financial Reporting functions that Cargill could no longer perform, and new REIT and ERISA compliance processes. Designed and implemented an innovative solution (eReporting) to receive financial and performance data electronically with active collaboration with third party asset managers. Added Phase II (eConsolidations) to map financial data into general ledger: This adding scale and efficiency to managing the implications of FIN 46 consolidation rules.

Designed cost center structure in JDEdwards to harmonize with a new Preventative Maintenance Program (Maximo). Established a Financial Service Center in Germany. Key team member of Acquisition and Due Diligence Team and lead functional integration for Vandemortele Oilseeds acquisition in Riesa and Mainz, Germany, resulting in eliminating administrative headcount in Mainz. Organized consolidated Finance Team in Salzgitter in response to closure of Hamburg office.

Responsible for all administrative functions in Poland. On acquisition team for Cargill's first asset investment in Poland: Animal Nutrition. Implemented and managed accounting, financial and working capital management processes. Served on the Management Board of this JV. Established banking relationships and working capital lines of credit with local banks. Key project team member in plant expansion and green fielding second plant in different market location. Lead contract restructuring with engineering firm due to the introduction of VAT in Poland leading to capital savings in excess of $2million. Applied experience in hyper-inflationary environment to working capital management and the implementation of a hyper-inflationary accounting system in Krasnodar, Russia for Cargill’s seed business. Worked on financial due diligence on other business opportunities in Poland including Oilseeds. Worked with external counsel to manage corporate legal affairs as well as CISA’s collection efforts on old Barter transactions with Polish trading companies: Collected in excess of $2million. Provided local insights in financial and political situation to Cargill's offshore emerging markets trading group resulting in increased trading revenue from foreign debt trading positions.
