It is the first use of this approach for RCG that allowed to establish the native status of RCG in MN. Resulted in publication. - mentor 9 Undergraduate Students, 2 Ph.D. Students, 2 Masters Students, 1 Research Fellow. Provide guidance throughout training for students at all levels and Research Fellow. Give constructive feedback, assist with projects, grants, and research, and give encouragement. Took part in multiple collaborative projects.- guest lecturer; developed and delivered innovative presentations on specific subjects for courses.- established working collaboration with Andrzej Kilian, Diversity Arrays Technology, Australia The collaboration promoted this method in the department; two additional teams are now using it, and it is used for four other plant species. -

Resulted in publications.- implemented the Gibson Assembly as a new method that allowed the development of many multigene constructs that allowed studies of pollen tube – style interactions (RNAi silencing, complementation, codon-optimized, domain swaps constructs). Resulted in publication.- developed and improved existing laboratory protocols and SOPs- developed and executed RNA-seq laboratory that included: lectures, laboratory class, class final reports, student Q&A and student performance evaluation. Use of CyVerse on-line supercomputing resources.
