Serving as the Divisional Compliance Branch’s policy lead, I am responsible for policy development (legislative and regulatory) related to the ministry's general compliance framework, compliance tools, and front-line compliance activities.I am currently spearheading MECP's proposed modernization and expansion of administrative penalties (also referred to as environmental penalties). As part of this work, I recently led the development of two amending regulations (O. Reg 338/23: Environmental Penalties and O. Reg 207/24: Environmental Penalties) to expand the environmental penalties framework.In addition, I am currently leading the modernization of MECP's environmental compliance policy, a guidance document that helps ministry staff select the appropriate compliance tools to address violations and to ensure preventive actions are taken to protect the environment and human health.As part of my work, I regularly engage with key stakeholders to collaborate, exchange information, and consult on policy proposals. Such work includes leading consultation sessions, drafting correspondence to inquiries from constituents, preparing materials for stakeholder liaison meetings, and creating Environmental Registry of Ontario postings.

Supported the oversight of multiple administrative authorities, including the Home Construction Regulatory Authority (HCRA), which regulates new home builders and vendors in the province and administers the New Home Construction Licensing Act, 2017. As part of this work, I developed new legislation and regulations (notably O. Reg. 573/22: Administrative Penalties), tracked accountability and transparency requirements, drafted correspondence to inquiries from constituents, and prepared materials for stakeholder liaison meetings and consultations.Led policy initiatives to modernize governance, accountability, and oversight practices for all administrative authorities overseen by the ministry. This work included conducting research and providing analysis/recommendations on legislative and regulatory amendments to harmonize the multiple Acts governing the ministry's administrative authorities. Led public appointment packages, including reappointments and revocations, for all administrative authorities overseen by the ministry. The appointments file required regular briefings with the Minister’s Office as well as steady communication with stakeholders both internal and external to government.

Managed shipboard recruitment for over 30 vessels across three fleets and completed special projects on a part-time basis.From September 2020 onward I facilitated the hiring of numerous senior deck and engine officers. Additionally, among various special projects I have completed, I designed a mobile application which provides important information and resources to company employees in a convenient manner. Since its launch in April, 2021 the Algoma App has seen over 20,000 unique visits .

Two-year development program that focused on experience and mentorship to provide a holistic view of Algoma and the Canadian shipping industry. Throughout the rotational program I held the following positions: Billing Coordinator, Logistics Coordinator, Purchaser, Commercial Trainee (Algoma Tankers Limited), and Fleet Personnel Coordinator.Highlights from the program include:- Completed policy research project on Canadian maritime regulations. Research included reviewing regulatory documents, considering stakeholder impact, and communicating with government officials at Transport Canada. Research findings resulted in major potential cost savings for the company.- Designed the front end of a mobile application which was successfully deployed for Algoma's annual Captains and Chiefs Conference (150 app users). Post-conference survey data rated the app as the best feature of the conference. - Performed research on internal resource management and logistics which resulted in numerous recommendations for cost ($140,000) and time savings (30% reduction in lead time for parts and material deliveries to Algoma vessels).- Recruited, hired, and scheduled all officers and unlicensed crew for a newly acquired cement vessel.

Conducted policy research and analysis on the underground economy and other topics related to tax compliance. Research included the production and presentation of briefing notes, jurisdictional scans, and position papers. Notable areas of focus included worker misclassification, beneficial ownership, and the province's business registration process.

Created content to be used as marketing material for both French and English-speaking audiences. Content included newsletters, blog articles, animated videos, and other promotional work. I also prepared StarDust's participation in international events and aided in establishing partnerships with other companies abroad. Through positive customer interactions, highlighted and encouraged the benefits of brand loyalty to Canadian Tire and its family of stores.
