Co-founder and CTO at UpLink, I'm passionate about technology, entrepreneurship, and how they merge together. Since college, I've dedicatred myself to tech-related startups with great commitment. My current duties at UpLink include technical vision, validation, and advisory, product and project management and development, quality assurance, planning, writing and efforcing technical specifications, hiring, and much more. Formerly, I was a senior developer and researcher with nearly 20 years of experience in a wide variety of programming languages, platforms, and fields of study, including networking, AI, ML, natural and computer language processing, 3D graphics, web, and full stack app development, and more. My alma mater is the University of Oporto - from which I keep fond memories and long lasting friendships - where I studied Computer Science. There, I was a researcher for CRACS, INESCTEC, PIC (Porto Interactive Center) under the LIFEisGAME and VERE projects, Yappy, and IJUP. I was also lead developer and maintainer of the OpenJelly project, dedicated to 3D graphics rendering, animations, and collision detection.I was founder and first president of NuCC (Nucleus for Computer Science, an association for CS enthusiasts) for the University of Oporto. Talks and workshops I gave include topics such as memory management, AI, general programming concepts and best practices, design patterns, and others. In the early days I participated in several programming contests with good results, including the national final. I was also team manager and lead organiser for the VideoJogos 2011 conference, in Porto.The loves of my life are my family, team, and friends, technology, and music.
