Created a media plan and secured important interviews at Louisiana TV, radio and newspaper outlets so that Ukraine native and former LSU basketball star Roman Rubchenko could deliver his one of a kind perspective and spread the word why U.S. aid to Ukraine is so critical not only for his country and its fight for democracy against Russia but also for the world.

As lead anchor, producer and manager for PBS' statewide Louisiana Public Broadcasting, my understanding of the inner workings of Louisiana politics, the players from both aisles of the state legislature and from our Senators and Representatives on Capitol Hill was an essential part of my job. Cutting through party rhetoric and asking tough questions while at the same time truly listening and maintaining the lawmakers trust was just another day at the office. It took great skill and awareness to understand party politics and how they could impact our state. A state, I might add, with a history of backroom deals and greasing the palms of politicians. I worked closely with policy makers (i.e. Senator Bill Cassidy, Rep. Garret Graves and Governor John Bel Edwards) along with others and I got the interviews on consistent basis lives in our studios or at times by satellite. To establish respect and trust and still ask the tough questions takes skill, savvy and knowledge of the players and I excelled in staying on point and holding leaders accountable. This, in a state with a history of deals being made behind closed doors. The government transparency promised during campaigns often slips behind closed doors. Knowing Louisiana and our politicians allowed me access.

Live coverage of anything Ohio, plus from New Orleans Mardi Gras and the set of TV series Baywatch and Baywatch Nights. Began as weekend sports anchor and within months took on greater roles. After moving over to news, remained active anchoring sports, with a rare dual position in news and sports. Hosted live sports specials for Ohio State, Cleveland Browns, Cincinnati Bengals. Passionately involved in fundraising and various community events.
