“Andréa has demonstrated skilled leadership in navigating the many challenges of the last two years as Pro Musica reopened and began to rebuild after the pandemic,” says Scott Baker, President of the Santa Fe Pro Musica Board of Trustees. “Amid the uncertainty facing all arts organizations at this time, she has assembled a strong staff, advanced a culture of collaboration and teamwork, and established much needed organizational infrastructure and professionalism to support Pro Musica’s future.” Under Cassutt’s leadership, Pro Musica joined in creating the first annual Santa Fe winter arts festival, Art + Sol, in collaboration with executive directors Amy Iwano of Performance Santa Fe, and Emma Scherer of Santa Fe Symphony. Cassutt’s work in collaboration, education, and community outreach has positioned Pro Musica strongly as an arts non-profit focused on musical excellence and community engagement and accessibility. Cassutt helped maintain and expand Pro Musica’s funding relationships with government and foundation grants and advanced its need for an expanded network of audience and donors. In late April, Cassutt and Colin Jacobsen, Pro Musica’s artistic director, hosted Sneakers & Sequins, Pro Musica’s first gala event and next season reveal party at CCA.“Since joining Pro Musica as artistic director this past fall, it has been a pleasure to work closely with Andréa in getting to know all aspects of the organization and operation. I can't wait to share next season's concerts, engagement activities and special events, all planned with Andréa’s close collaboration. I'm grateful for all the energy and dedication she has given to Pro Musica and wish her every success in her next path,” said Jacobsen.

A collaborative leadership project with two other Executive Directors of arts organizations to create an annual festival featuring the performing arts scene in Santa Fe during the fall - spring season. We brought together ten organizations for a week long festival in February featuring music, dance, comedy and theater in local venues, and highlighting community youth education in Santa Fe and Espanola. For locals and visitors with support and sponsorship from hotels, restaurants and statewide media partners.

In five-plus years of leading this fantastic organization providing music education and performance opportunities in Jazz, Mariachi, Orchestra, Chamber Music, and with an after school elementary strings program, I learned much, grew and evolved in my leadership, and enjoyed beautiful connections, special moments, and significant success. My heart has been filled by the stories, talent, creativity, tenacity, and music of our students, families and staff. I am gratified to see all of the ways our organization has changed and evolved significantly. I could not be more proud of what we have all accomplished together and what is ahead for SFYSA in the next year and coming decade.The expansion of programs and our reach, the inclusion of youth from many different cultures and communities in northern New Mexico, the streamlining of our sliding scale tuition and increase in accessibility are among the accomplishments I am most proud of. As an educator, I am a believer in "If you can see it, you can be it." During my tenure we did our best to make sure our students saw and were inspired by musicians and composers who looked like them. “During Andrea’s tenure she helped us transform our organization. We’ve doubled our budget, expanded our student enrollment and programs, gathered an excellent team of educators, professionalized our organization, and gained national press attention in Symphony Magazine for our response during the pandemic. We are sorry to see her go, and also confident we will attract a strong candidate to lead us in this next chapter of our growth.
