I led the project team and managed an initiative to move from a comingled (Harvest) recycling model to a separation at source model. Escalated business case for change, engaged service providers (collections), developed pricing, managed engagement of >4,000 customers, restructured recycling business (eliminating sorting requirement) and implemented conversion of service model. Key Achievements:• Delivered budgeted cost reduction of $1.5M pa.• Exceeded project deliverables ahead of schedule. • Improved diversion from landfill through reduced contamination. • Concurrent to the project I successfully led the negotiation of an EA, delivering significant commercial improvements and averting industrial action amongst a highly unionised workforce.
