Project Manager: responsible for the higher organization, prioritizing, and monitoring of the autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) build processes using Agile methodology while maintaining detailed project documentation. Software : works to implement controller and behavior code for AUV to accomplish tasks autonomously (C++ and Java). Wrote driver code (C++) to integrate both acoustic and positioning sensors as part of the navigation system (hydrophones, IMU, gyroscope, DVL). Wrote foundation for vision system (HSV masking/ ML) using C++ / Python image detection. Participates in the International RoboNation RoboSub Competition, placed 3rd in the World and 1st in the U.S., 2019; placed 2nd in the World, 2020; placed 4th in the World 2023.

Uses GIS software to create spatiotemporal maps of the NASA Apollo Program landing sites using data collected during the Apollo missions and post-mission images from the LROC suite aboard the LRO. Resulting in a minute-by-minute account of the Apollo astronauts' traverses, their use of equipment, and geological sample collection on the Lunar surface during the Apollo missions.

(2022) Designed, implemented, and tested critical system software implemented in C++ on a robotic quadruped (Boston Dynamics Spot). Wrote behavior to autonomously track and follow naval personnel while they accomplish ship maintenance tasks. The behavior will enable a future suite of tasks that will be used to study the interaction between naval personnel and the robotic system.(2023) Designed and implemented a real-time speech-to-text transcription program leveraging a transformer sequence-to-sequence model which handles both live or pre-recorded audio transcription for accelerated and low memory usage on GPU and CPU. This program will enable live command execution from naval personnel to robot.

- Completed a 12-week training program to write effective grant proposals around NASA’s mission criteria and protocols.- Participated in an official proposal review panel to evaluate and select a concept proposal to promote through the next stage of the program’s competition, a 10k funding grant.

Project Abstract- Explored a wheelless, autonomous rover concept design for collecting geological samples on extraterrestrial bodies found throughout our reachable solar system.

Extension of a previous internship. Used Python to create an analysis tool to process stored test data collected during on-water demonstration of an implemented algorithm and maintained documentation.

Assisted in the development and testing of a software framework designed to coordinate a swarm of fast-moving, autonomous, unmanned surface vehicles (USVs). Performed simulations, analyzed test data, and added new features to the framework. Researched, designed and implemented a multi-agent system behavioral algorithm in C++.
