The monoclonal antibody company PDL (formerly Protein Design Labs) spun out Facet Biotechnology which was acquired by Abbott Laboratories in 2010. The group's therapeutic emphasis was on the areas of inflammation and autoimmune diseases, cardiovascular disorders and cancer. In this position, Andy served in the Bioanalytical group, which developed and validated methods for GLP PK, immunogenicity, and biomarker samples. He worked with clinical, research, CROs, toxicology, and PK-ADME teams, while managing CRO-based bioanalysis and writing technical reports, protocols, and concept sheets for submission to FDA.
