My dream was always to own my own business. After graduating, I moved back to my hometown of Cleveland and worked at a small CPA firm, but soon realized I didn't have the patience to sit behind a desk.In 1983 when I got a job transfer to Albuquerque, NM. The company I was managing had 43 employees. Our bookkeeper took two days to finish the payroll. I couldn't believe it. Why waste our own time on a process when someone else could do it?Then it hit me💡 I took a bank loan, bought a computer and a dot matrix printer, and hit the street. Since I was a caddy at a Cleveland country club, I knew I wanted to be successful — a leader. This new venture was going to take grit, so I hit the pavement in the morning, selling payroll service, and ran the reports at night.And here we are today, industry leaders in the small city of Albuquerque, with our services provided nationwide. But I didn't want to stop there. I knew businesses needed help with other HR tasks. In the '90s, I created Payday HCM's own Benefits Agency, helping companies put together holistic benefits packages. Our agents help business owners retain and attract top talent across all industries. We wanted our clients to appreciate their workforce as much as we do.We keep moving and are forward-thinking.
