Enviromentally aware Land Technician speciallising in Low Impact,off grid living.Surveying,assessing and designing sites in the East End of Glasgow which fall within the bottom 15% of most deprived area's in Europe.After lengthy discussions on all 7 sites with GCC at George Square I was offered 6.2 hectares of Easterhouse which I spent One full year on in order to zone,sector,layout the 2 rivers to be re-instated,the pond,the nursery,the vineyard(re-instated),the extensive Apiary and other attractions. The principal construction would be an Earthship of the magnitude indicated in photo's attachached to my media pages namely 2x2 containers in height preferably vertical and partially submerged in soil as well as a large communal space inbetween for office/shop/restaurant facilities. An Earthship is always south facing and glass fronted so as to accommodate 40% growing space and 60% living or office space. The entire construction is covered in soil North,West & East so as to have a self regulating temperature and other reasons.One of the containers would ideally house a bio mass boiler which would be backed up by solar energy as well as a tastefully designed wind turbine. As the wooded area known as the 7 lochs(8 or 9 now) is adjacent and thousands of hectares extending to Airdrie & Coatbridge there is a lot of scope to host major events such as the Festival held at Glasgow's ancient twin town of Glastonbury(both Glasgo & Glasto were picked as sites by the ancients for the exact same reasons!!) and this ancient tie must be looked at if we are to control the Hydrocycle(!!!) which would prevent floods further down the chain as all water gravitates towards the Clyde from the higher ground.I observed a full sun cycle,wind cycle,water cycle,freezing,flooding,frost,ice,snow and have marked all observations upon the land for future use.I have continued to make observations upon the "new" weather systems we are experiencing,have a very good idea of the current trends.
