As a licensed engineer, I evaluated project-related geotechnical, environmental, and modeling reports; reviewed business case evaluations (planning level alternatives analysis), project plans, basis of design, opinion of probable cost, & specifications; obtained required federal, state, and local environmental/building permits; updated project schedules via Primavera; and assisted with negotiations for easement acquisition and court appropriations. During construction of projects, I oversaw project bidding, award, and contract development (ranged $250k- +$10 million); reviewed and approved change orders due to unforeseen site conditions; interacted with the public via mailings, in-person public meetings, and updating project status online; and closed out projects after final payments and acceptance of the project. I reviewed NPDES permit applications and associated PTIs, wrote major industrial and municipal NPDES Permits, compiled and analyzed monitoring data, interpreted state water quality standards and ensured compliance with the Clean Water Act. Additionally, I developed guidance and training, communicated with third party environmental groups, permittees, and the U. S. EPA, and worked with intrastate, multi-state, and bi-national groups to develop new nutrient reduction policy.

I collected and filed data on various disposal and sale of coal combustion products from seventeen power plants using excel programming, organized reports, reviewed contracts, edited drawings, prepared budget studies, wrote bi-weekly reports, purchased project material, conducted site orientation and safety training, analyzed feasibility reports, and oversaw contractors working onsite at local power plant.
