I love solving complex problems, almost as much as I love helping other people solve complex problems. Technology, especially Cloud, can be confusing at best and confounding at worst. This is where I like to work - I like to get creative and think big about the types of challenges that can sometimes seem unsolvable.I'm currently working in the Healthcare sector, specifically clinical laboratory, where I'm driving the modernization of traditional datacenter infrastructure through Cloud native technologies. I spend my time figuring out how to transition from traditional, sometimes non-x86, platforms to the world of Docker, Kubernetes and Lambda functions. Where Cloud native isn't an option, I push towards SaaS or PaaS, or as a last resort, cost-optimized IaaS in both Azure and AWS.Diagnostic medicine is a powerful tool, and it generates a lot of data. Keeping that data flowing through instruments, processors, storage and analysis in a way that's fast, efficient and secure is a never ending challenge. When a patient is waiting on a critical diagnosis, there's just no room for error.Aside from technology, I have a passion for leadership and mentoring. My most memorable career successes have had nothing to do with technology, and everything to do with the people that have accompanied me on my journey, and the successes that they've achieved with a little guidance or a nudge in the right direction. If you're in the Cloud technology space, whether it be Architecture, DevOps, Security or Operations, feel free to connect.Skill keywords:Strategy Development | Cloud and Datacenter Architecture | Cloud Computing | IT Service Management | Security | Budgeting | Vendor Relationships | Mergers and Acquisitions | Regulatory Compliance | Risk Management
