Andy Batters BEng (Hons) CEngI have joined the Aegis Rolling Stock team, to enhance the On Track Machine OTM and On Track Plant OTP capabilities and will lead and develop some of the Aegis major projects. I have over 30 year’s experience managing and leading railway plant fleets on infrastructure maintenance, renewal and construction projects and have lead on technical aspects of tendering, procurement, manufacture, test & commissioning and introduction into service of new trains and On Track Machines and systems. - SVI SpA OHLE wiring train, 2016 - Matisa Track Renewal System, 2011 - Plasser & Theurer High Output Ballast Cleaning System, 2010 - WH Davis 50 Sleeper Carrying wagons and Barrier Wagons, 2009 Skilled and highly competent engineering manager able to plan, implement, evaluate and audit work.Ensure compliance with European Standards (e.g. The Machinery Directive, TSI’s, EN14033), British Standards, Railway Group Standards, RIS and current legislation (e.g. HASWA, ROGS, RIR)Apply innovative and pragmatic approach to fleet maintenance and engineering change control.Being a Chartered Engineer, I aim to provide a professional and experienced approach with procurement, approvals, operations, maintenance and project management of railway vehicles and infrastructure plant. With outcomes to directly benefit quality, reliability, safety and whole life cycle costs of all stake holders.
