I offer over 35 years’ industrial automation experience – 21 years in technical sales and, prior to that, 15 years in mechanical design and applications roles. My experience includes: process automation (fluids, pneumatics & robotics); food and beverage; filtration; water and waste water treatment; pharmaceutical; oil & gas; petrochemicals; chemicals manufacture and blending; semiconductor; graphic arts; power generation; valve actuation; lumber processing; environmental; automotive and marine; metals manufacturing. In addition to my commercial and technical roles I have had extensive involvement with Quality Systems management, Health and Safety management and Investors in People administration.In May 2011 I immigrated to British Columbia with my wife. We gained Canadian Citizenship in March 2016. Between arriving in Canada and securing full-time employment, I worked part-time for a local manufacturer of water purification and rain harvesting systems. Additionally I assumed part-time, voluntary positions with the local recycling depot team (educating and advising local residents regarding their recycling options) as well as the local ‘Zero Waste’ team (investigating options for reducing landfill waste and improving sustainability).
