Responsible for the development of the gasification business both in terms of technology advancement working with the Porvair engineering teams and commercial expansion through the achievement of strategic opportunities. These concern the higher pressure coal/petcoke gasification requirements as well as the atmospheric/vacuum biomass and MSW related requirements.The integration of media structure, metallurgy and filter cleaning (both insitu and offline) represent the technological advancements that provide the operators with the longevity of operation required that ensures that we retain a well-deserved and highly viable position in the market.

To maintain advancements in separation and material influenced technologies to promote improvements in filtration & separation technologies in respect to efficiency of separation and operational cleaning. Since late 2010 specific concentration has been applied to the transportation and control of char laden syngas from coal and petcoke gasification duties, particular attention focussed on the filter media, inlet distribution manifold and pulsejet valve and nozzle system. This has recently resulted in substantial orders being placed with Porvair.
