Responsible for land and property matters within the West Midlands section of the route including the Solihull area and the proposed Interchange Station and the Birmingham spur which contains the Washwood Heath Rolling Stock Maintenance Depot and Curzon Street Station. Led the team within the West Midlands in engagement with affected property owners, attended public consultation events, delivered the compensation measures introduced by the Department for Transport and influenced the design of the proposed railway prior to the submission of the Hybrid Bill to parliament. Led the West Midlands team In their significant contribution to the petition process of the project through the Select Committee process including the negotiation of assurances and undertakings to satisfy petitioners and provide property support to the legal team. Undertaken the delivery of Treasury compliant business cases to progress investment to facilitate business relocation. My personal highlight has been to lead the team charged with the advanced relocation of UK Mail HQ facility from Washwood Heath to a new state of the art facility at Ryton in Coventry.

• Led a series of large-scale, high profile development schemes, including working with St Modwen on the delivery of the £100m regeneration of the former MG Rover manufacturing plant at Longbridge; the construction of the new £66m Bournville College; and working in partnership with Gazeley Developments to deliver the Blue Planet distribution facility, the first BREEAM Outstanding development of its kind in Europe.• A pivotal part of the Agency’s final Closure Team, specifically selected by the Chief Executive charged with closing the organisation in a professional manner due to high performance, adaptability and attitude.• Led a multi–disciplinary team responsible for identifying the region’s critical infrastructure requirements to enable economic growth and allow the West Midlands to compete globally for inward investment opportunities. Such projects include New Street Station, HS2, the West Midlands Regional Infrastructure Fund, Wolverhampton Transport Interchange Hub, Renewable Energy Infrastructure and Super Fast Broadband.• Led the Agency’s Infrastructure and Asset Development Strategic Function, with a budget of circa £50m per annum, responsible for establishing the critical early infrastructure (road, rail, energy, water, waste and broadband) for major development sites in the West Midlands.
