SELTRANS is a sub-regional grouping of seven southeast London Boroughs of Bexley, Bromley, Croydon, Greenwich, Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark, transport providers and operators and groups representing the interests of businesses and passengers; delivering, award winning holistic carbon neutral station access schemes.The partners within Seltrans all share a vision to shape sub-regional transport policy so that every form of public transport can be improved, leading to a reduced dependency on cars and increased accessibility to jobs, enabling an efficient transport system essential to the movement of goods and services. The regeneration, development and vibrancy of South East London demands efficient and effective integrated transport. Seltrans aims to deliver such a system. The broadest objective of Seltrans is to find ways in which an integrated transport system can help enhance London's economic prosperity, environment, promote social inclusion and the quality of life of Londoners.The SELTRANS area ranges from former riverside activities now intensively used for business, tourism and leisure as well as housing, through Victorian terraced housing, interspersed with post war development, light industry and railway lines, out through interwar suburban terraced/semidetached developments to affluent low density housing on the Kent/Surrey borders. The area is characterised by rail commuting, relatively narrow roads on which pedestrians, cyclists, buses, lorries and cars compete for space, and traffic congestion.

6 month Secondment• To provide better integrated public transport initiatives as a viable alternative to the use of the car to reduce traffic congestion, improve the urban environment, help economic regeneration and to enhance town centres• To develop complementary measures to encourage use of environmental forms of transport – bus, tram, rail, walking and cycling as viable alternatives to the motor-car• To provide for safe, secure and efficient movement• To increase accessibility and sustainability in order to serve the existing and future land uses in the area and improve social cohesion• To improve public transport interchange facilities to allow easy transfer from one mode to another.

- Member of TfL’s ‘Core’ walking group and the Area Based Schemes ‘Working Group’.- Author of TfL’s ‘Station Access’ sustainability audits (Access, Integration, Environment) at rail stations within the Westrans borough partnership. Managing strategic and holistic priority lists.- Working practical knowledge of GRIP, RUS, HLOS, DfT ‘Access For All’ , NSIP and NR group standards. - ‘Industry’ Liaison between Network Rail, TOC’s, TfL, DfT, LUL and Local Authorities, government agencies, NGO’s.- ‘Public’ Liaison between Passenger Focus, London Travel Watch, ATOC, local users/stakeholder groups. - Whole Life / Over-Sight Project Manager.
