Provides vision and leadership for developing and implementing information technology initiatives by directing the planning and implementation of enterprise information systems, cloud and web applications in support of operations to enhance the customer experience, improve service quality, cost-effectiveness, and productivity. Responsible for all aspects of company information technology infrastructure and security.

Responsible for strategic and technical leadership of 1) Cengage Learning's global AD, Office 365, SharePoint, Skype for Business and other collaboration platforms, 2) Mobility, Telecommunications and System Administration teams; and 3) End-user & Global Sales Force Support teams providing technology services to all corporate users. Defined collaboration technology strategy and led the teams executing the migration to Office 365, the enterprise-wide deployment of video conferencing and collaboration technologies, policy development, data center builds, site moves, and corporate acquisitions and divestitures. Led teams of on and off-shore, highly-motivated technologists to provide comprehensive end-to-end technology support across multiple service delivery towers to over 7,000 users across 15 domestic locations with an overall Customer Satisfaction scores of over 98%.Key Responsibilities Include:- Formulation of the company's enterprise collaboration and productivity suites; assessing cost and feasibility, and ensuring the plan is aligned with and supports the strategic goals of the business. - Overseeing delivery tools support model for staffing, hours of coverage, 7X24 operations, and instituting service level agreements (SLAs) within the business.- Managing tools and vendor relationships.- Leveraging sourced partners to leverage integrated and heavily vendor-enabled function.- Overseeing the execution of team’s operating plans and managing budget.- Regularly assessing the relative impact of IT industry trends to existing methodologies tools and practices, and continuously moving toward a practical implementation of appropriate technologies.- Collaborating across IT and business teams to identify opportunities to leverage common solutions and extend the adoption of standards.

Responsible for the strategy, direction and overall operation of all technology infrastructure deployed at over 15+ domestic Cengage Learning Offices, which included data center, network and server services, telephony, service monitoring, user support/help desk, workstation management, servers, storage and related software. This position was operationally responsible for ensuring the availability, integrity, and security for all IT systems, infrastructure and application environments. Had direct oversight, problem-solving leadership decisions and responsible for working closely with cross-functional business areas, business leaders and IT groups to ensure its alignment with business objectives/strategy for complex infrastructure implementation, system upgrades and operational troubleshooting. Lead staff of 65+ staff to delivery world class IT services to business.

Responsible for leading teams of highly motivated technologists delivering system administration, data center operations, network and telecommunication support to a leading publishing company across multiple domestic locations. Responsible for business case development, presentation and execution for WAN redesign and replacement, 1,000+ node LAN replacement as well as major platform consolidations of storage and server operating systems to reduce maintenance and administrative support costs. Also was responsible for production support, database and Unix team from 2001-2005.

Lead consulting engagements to improve technology services, support and infrastructure for clients in the academic, banking, and publishing industries. Responsible for network designs and upgrades, and researching and executing major capital improvements in storage, server and network technologies.
