Record any… Show more As part of the ICSS (Integrated Control & Safety System) engineering project team, I headed up the safety systems, engineering the technical solutions for the new replacement ESD (Emergency Shutdown), F&G (Fire and Gas detection and protection) systems and interfaces to 3rd party sub system and devices, and HMI (Human Machine Interface). Develop safety system design in accordance with applicable legislation, BP guidance notes, project standards, and contractual arrangement. Record any concessions to these design criteria in the project gap analysis document.Identify and record any design change requirements on project master copy documentation and liaise with 3rd parties to update cost schedule and issued documents. Issue safety system project base design documentation to 3rd party integration supplier for the ESD, F&G, HMI and sub systems.Review consistency in design of all hardware panel build, application software, against project control documentation, C&Es (Cause and Effects), P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) and instrument loop drawings.Develop integration strategies for the ESD, F&G (multiple engineering centres) and 3rd party integration requirements for essential services and life support system to remain healthy while cutover takes place, with risk assessment proposals.Co-ordinate all safety system related technical clarifications with ESD, F&G systems and HMI supplier. Attended and participated in project CHAZOP (Control Hazard and Operability Study) to assess design of the whole project.Produce project SRS (Safety Requirement Specification) and asset safety life cycle documentation and attended and participated in FSAs (Functional Safety Audits).Attended FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) at the ESD, F&G, HMI, and sub systems supplier premises.Attended SAT and commissioning phases on UK offshore platform.Handover to operations offshore with on-going system technical support, and provide all 3rd parties as built documentation.
