Management of Mechanical Systems Design Department, comprising of,Propulsion, Fuel and APU teamsAir management, fire protection and ice protection teamsFlight controls, FBW, hydraulic and landing gear teamsTechnical and team management of 300+ engineers of multiple nationalities, from Japan and Global major airframe OEMs.Interfacing with major system suppliers worldwide.

- Delivering support capability to the RAF for new weapon system enhancements.- Interfacing with other partner companies,Eurofighter Jagdflugzeug GmbH and NETMA to enable concurrent support solutions to allow rapid Entry Into Service.

- Responsible for management and coordination of Engineering Lifecycle Management and specific engineering governance activities across all Large Aircraft (Nimrod MRA4, MR2, R1 E-3 Sentry and VC10) delivery streams. - Engineering assurance of the BAE Systems operational framework, Lifecycle Management Framework and Group Engineering policies on behalf of the Chief Engineer.- Management of Large Aircraft Design Reviews, including Planning and Reporting.

- Responsibilities include managing a virtual team from across the engineering organisation, (encapsulating 28 systems teams), to ensure all deliverables are available to declare engineering readiness for on aircraft tasks.- Co-ordination of overall Aircraft Configuration, Qualification and Integration requirements.- Review and endorse the engineering priorities for PA1 Flight Test Program.- Set standards of performance and stretch targets which challenge established methods of Flight Test Operations.- Report progress, issues and opportunities to the Senior Management team.

- Responsibilities include managing up to 9 Flight Test runners across two sites and the FTI co-ordination section, in a dynamic and high intensity environment, recruiting as required to meet the future program needs. - Qualified Flight Test Observer and Telemetry Lead.- Authorised to perform supervision of Development Test Flying. - Final signature authority for test schedules, ensuring Flight Test process is adhered to throughout flight trials, and all trials are performed in a safe, timely and efficient manner. - Ensuring flight duration and utilisation meet project Key Performance Indicators. - Team development, motivation, training and welfare, including PDR process. - Control Account Manager, responsible for Schedule and Budget adherence for the Ops & Planning group.

- Avionic shift manager and defensive aids specialist. - Aircraft flight line supervisor, including manpower and asset control for up to 4 aircraft and 20 personnel.
