My role as a secondary teacher involves supervising and guiding secondary (7th - 12th grade) students. I teach live Bible classes and History classes using the University Model. I also participate as a teacher with Colorado Homeschool Enrichment (CHE) hosted in the Mt Zion campus. I also get to work with other teachers and students to develop a godly and effective secondary school culture.

As the sponsor of the ACTS Youth Philanthropy club, I train student in what philanthropy is and guide them through the process of raising money, establishing a granting mission statement each year, then recruiting, screening, and selecting local non-profit organizations to grant the money we've raised to. I also work with an advisory board to raise capitol funds for our grants and to partner with their expertise in the training of our young philanthopists.

I coordinated High School Chapels from 2001 to 2011, then again from 2018 to 2022. As CSCS High School Chapels Coordinator, I led a student team in planning chapel ministry opportunities for our high school students. This team included a coordination team, worship bands, and a video & production team. Chapels included local youth pastors, nationally renown speakers, times dedicated strictly to worship and prayer as well as special events like Easter Chapels, See You At the Pole, and National Day of Prayer.

I have taught or currently teach three one semester classes: freshmen Old Testament Survey, sophomore New Testament Survey, Godly Men, Evangelism & Missions, Christian Classics, and Spiritual Formation classes.

In my role as Student Life Coordinator my role was to oversee and coordinate the various governments, clubs, and ministries in the high school at CSCS as well as "youth pastoring" the student body. The role included working directly with the various sponsors to provide training, support, and encouragement as they advised, trained, and mentored their organizations and mentored their leaders. In this role I represented the department to the administration advocating its various causes, coordinating schedules with the administration, athletic and fine arts departments. I also represented CSCS in the community working with organizations like Focus on the Family, Compassion International, ACSI, the Navigators, Crossfire Ministries, The Rescue Mission, Care & Share, and the local youth pastors network. In the pastoral part of this position, i worked directly with students, training, counseling, mentoring, and praying with them. I also coordinated pastoral efforts with local youth pastors whose students attended CSCS.

I directly or indirectly coordinate and oversee the activities of our schools' elected student official including our class councils and our Student Senate. In this position, I conduct our spring and fall elections, keep records of student activity, and help run our Student Leadership Awards Reception at the end of the school year. I also work with class sponsors to train their student leaders to accomplish each class' assigned tasks.

I taught Civics from 1992 to 2004, then again from 2011-2015. As the Civics teacher at CSCS, my job is to introduce, create interest, and teach our seniors about the foundations and basis of American government; train them to think like the Christian American citizens that they are becoming; and help them integrate the knowledge they receive into being an active citizen in our current national, state, and local situation.

As the coordinator and teacher of the Student Internship Program, I planned and taught the leadership curriculum and the activities and accountability of 5-20 of the top junior and senior leaders of the High School.
