I have decided to have a change of direction, after a three and a half year position as GM for SMJ I am moving into a challenging new role, that sees me coming out of FMCG, not planned, but a chance to do something I have been thinking about and was going to do in the next 2 years or so. A chance to develop an already good team into a great team as well as do something we all need to do, invest in youth and apprentices. Trips into Yorkshire and becoming a commuter are totally alien after spending 28 years going to the same factory. Watch this space I will keep everyone updated as we go on this exiting journey. Nelson Aseptic Facility

After 13 years with Cott Beverages and another 13 years before that with Macaw soft drinks I find myself, due to business requirements, going to work for another employer. During the 13 years I have worked for them Cott has been extremely kind to me and provided countless opportunities for progression and development, it really has been a great place to work. Cott is packed with great people and it's with mixed emotions I leave, there is a part of me that would have loved to be a part of the integration into the Refresco family and be a part of the exiting times ahead, unfortunately this cannot be so.The Next stage in my career sees a move to join Sun magic juices as General manager of the Nelson Aseptic facility, a role that I am looking forward to and one that give me the chance to join a great forward looking, developing business.

After a year working through several site projects and picking up some new experiences and skills along the way I have moved back into a role that sees me returning to the complex world of Aseptic soft drinks. A challenge that I am looking forward to.

Looking at our next two year plan around line structure, geographical layouts, new products and customers, working to make Nelson the site of choice within the group, whilst still being involved with building a workforce that is safety and quality conscious, energised and focused.
