• Various roles in the development and architecture of the SailfishOS mobile operating system, participating in the following:
• Maintaining RPM packages of open and closed source software packages and platform-specific patches on an OBS CI infrastructure.
• Camera and codec middleware, bridging Android media components into GStreamer. Integration into the Gecko browser engine.
• Rebasing a customized Qt-based Gecko engine to later versions.
• Qt/QML application development and maintenance.
• Investigation into application sandboxing, resulting in a lightweight, transparent, FireJail-based containerization approach.

CERN, Geneva, Switzerland

• Developer and workpackage leader on several European Commission FP6 & 7 projects, disseminating CERN software knowledge to the wider world.
• 2013 – 2016: CRISTAL-iSE – Proposal co-author, technical coordinator and main kernel developer. Built a new, open source version of CRISTAL, based on new requirements from its spinoff BPM suite, Agilium.
• 2009 – 2015: neuGRID & neuGrid 4 Users – project proposal co-author and workpackage leader. Integrated CRISTAL into a neuroimaging analysis framework to gather analysis provenance and capture dataset structure and data.
• 2006 – 2009: Health-e-Child – chief designer of generic meta-model for paediatric data integration, inspired by CRISTAL's meta-schema architecture. Implemented data acquisition and browsing interface.

CERN, Geneva, Switzerland

• I led the CRISTAL project at CERN from prototype to production. This developed a unique production management platform designed to apply ground-breaking ideas in storing data structure and process definition as data.
• I deployed CRISTAL for tracking CMS ECAL and Preshower construction workflows from 2003-2007 at CERN, Taiwan and Greece. This version was successfully spun off to produce a BPM suite, Agilium, developed by m1i in.
• Abstracted CRISTAL into a generic description-driven application platform for use in neuroimaging analysis workflow provenance in the neuGrid project and its follow-on, N4U. Modernised its codebase to use more recent.
• Migrated it from a closed-source, proprietary licensed product to an LGPL3 open source project, hosted on Github, using Travis to build into Maven Central.
• Participated in starting up another company, Technoledge, to further exploit CRISTAL in the manufacturing domain.

CERN, Geneva, Switzerland

• Initially responsible for developing the Java Swing UI of CRISTAL 2, later took over lead design and development for the core kernel and application within CMS for tracking detector construction of two detectors across.
• Maintained the ECAL and Preshower CRISTAL centres during assembly, developing and evolving workflows, schemas and scripts for detector part characterization for validation and later detector calibration. The ECAL.
• Managed the development of the core kernel through conflicting requirements as it was shared between CERN and a start-up company through technology transfer.
