I am a lawyer with extensive experience in the acquisition, financing, development, letting and disposal of all types of commercial real estate in both the UK and internationally. I am listed in the Hall of Fame for Real Estate in Legal 500 and also top ranked (Band 1) in Chambers. I am a member of the Land Law Committee of the City of London Law Society. My experience includes many high profile and complex projects, such as advising:Ho Bee Land on their £718m acquisition of The Scalpel landmark office building in the City of London;City Developments on their £395m acquisition of St Katharine Docks, a 23-acre landmark mixed-use scheme including central London’s only marina;Japanese investor and developer Obayashi on the £140m+ acquisition of 60 Gracechurch Street in the City of London and on its proposed redevelopment; Ramsbury on the pre-let of 220,000 sq ft office space at The M Building to accountancy firm BDO as its new London HQ, in one of the largest West End lettings;Glencore on the pre-let of their new London HQ premises in Hanover Square;A major pan-European core fund as it expands across Europe; Lendlease on its: £1.9bn Birmingham Smithfield City Centre development covering 17 hectares; JV with Starwood Capital to acquire and develop the £3.5bn Silvertown Quays development; £2bn on-going redevelopment of Elephant and Castle London SE1 comprising over 300,000 square metres of new build, mixed use development;Shuaa Group on several projects including its £370m acquisition and subsequent development of New Scotland Yard, London; andA consortium member on its investment in a €6.4 billion global portfolio of circa 900 hotels. Outside my life at Linklaters, I am a Trustee and Chair of Barts Charity, which is a fantastic charity whose vision is to achieve life-changing improvements to health for the people of East London.
