An experienced editor, journalist and music copywriter with extensive print, online and social media experience. After graduating from my Journalism Diploma, I helped launch the weekly version of Time Out Dubai in 2005 as their Music Editor and quickly progressed to the Features Editor, shaping the content of the biggest-selling Middle East publication.Headhunted by ENG Media, I then launched a dedicated men’s lifestyle magazine IQ, before editing and publishing DJ Magazine Middle East. My next role was as the Editor of Infusion Magazine Editor in Dubai, the region’s leading music, nightlife, entertainment and lifestyle title. After 11 years in the Middle East, our family made the move back to Leeds, where I joined Fractl, a recently-launched data-driven marketing company. My main role was writing SEO- and data-driven destination guides for over 100 Premier Inn locations. Alongside this, I worked on campaigns for Shopper.com, Barclaycard, HSBC, QS Supplies, Emirates Bank, Kroon Casino and more.I’m currently the Editor at DubaiLAD.com, one of the Middle East’s biggest viral news and social media companies and also head copywriter at Ma’ana Music, Dubai’s largest specialist music PR company. I can work to tight deadlines and craft snappy online copy or in-depth SEO-led blogs and features. I’m a versatile and experienced freelancer writing across a range of titles and websites including The Financial Times, Q Magazine, Esquire Middle East, Mediaweek, Red Bull, Rolling Stone Middle East and many more. I’m an NCTJ trained journalist with a 2:1 degree in History from Leeds University. I’m a qualified level 1 cricket and rugby coach and an award-winning DJ who’s played alongside Fatboy Slim, Liam Gallagher and Mark Ronson. I also wrote my History Dissertation on Star Wars.
