Completed 65 Control retrofits to date. Mostly Okuma Lathes and Mills. Solely responsible for the design work - Software, Hardware, Enclosures, motor mounts, BOM's, Parts ordering etc.. Duties include all the pre-sales quoting, spec review, scheduling as well as all of the post sale controls training. Powered up, debugged, and tested every machine. Never damaged a single component due to design error.Handle 80-90% of the control related customer service except for routine parts ordering.Only person in the North America/Europe to retrofit CNC machines with Okuma Thinc Controls. Okuma does not sale its control systems on the open market.Completed the first ever Okuma control integration on an American Machine tool. A total of (5) Cincinnati Milicron MR24 Chucker's were retrofitted for a fortune 50 Company. These Mid 80's machines were equipped with a 45 tool chain, gantry style ATC, 6 position tool holder turret as well as Part and tool probing.

Responsible for entire electrical design for USA Built MX45-VAE, a 10hp vertical machining center with an Okuma OSP 7000 CNC.Completed entire hardware/software design for VTL-28/38, a 30hp vertical lathe with a GE Fanuc 18-TC CNC using alpha series motors and digital drives. Option design included a six-axis machine with contouring spindle and milling turret.Used GE Fanuc Macro Executer Language to generate custom screens and use of soft keys to control manual functions.Completed hundreds of option designs over multiple machine typesInitiated a "cost down" program and was directly responsible for a $1,500,000/year reduction in parts cost.Designed and produced an air-to-air heat exchanger used on all Okuma America machines.
