System design and requirements management activities on the MC-21 ISSKOR flight data recording system.Analysis of the customer Technical Requirement Specification and development of the IRKUT MC-21 System Requirements Specification.Developed the Multi Purpose Flight Recorder Specification from its first draft using the System Requirements Specification to generate the Flight Recorder Requirements and derive recorder specific requirements.Analysed the proposed system Onboard Maintenance System requirements to determine compliance to ARINC 624.Produced presentation material for and attended the system level SRR with the Russian customers.Transitioned the DOORS 6.0 requirements into DOORS 9.2 and provided DXL fixes for the bespoke DXL export scripts used in the organisation.Performed analysis of the IRKUT ISSKOR MC-21 ICD for the ARINC664 (AFDX) network interface to determine the parameter data format being detailed.Jointly generated the System ICD. Designed the AFDX network for the integration lab at Christchurch.Generated the flight data recorder verification plan, outlining test descriptions for verification of the requirements.Derived a technical requirement specification for a wireless download unit to be used to offload ACMS and parametric data automatically to a remote ground station when the aircraft is at the terminal.

Bid support activities for a helmet mounted display bid. Primary tasks were read across of environmental qualification standards and test results to generate compliance matrices for the bid pack and assessment of COTS compliance to DO-160 standards.

Systems Lead for a combined Link 16 and VMF datalink programme. Responsible for design certification activities, test management and customer / subcontractor technical liaison.Product Safety engineer responsibility held for this programme including the generation of the system safety case.In conjunction with this role actively participated in systems maturity study, developed and prepared a proposal to enhance the System Readiness Level process.Also performing assessments and development of outcome based system maturity measurement methods and produced a small study relating to Cost Effective engineering.

Systems Lead for a combined Link16 and VMF datalink programme. Responsible for requirements capture, system design, requirements partitioning and the generation of product specifications. Worked closely with customers and subcontractors managing sub system requirements and change management.

Systems Engineer for the Eurofighter Communications Audio Management Unit. Responsible for system requirements management and system certification activities.Worked closely with hardware and software engineering during product integration to ensure optimal resolution to integration issues.

Lead Engineer for a Life Extension Programme. Primarily an analysis based programme to underwrite a life extension of a Missile Management System to support extended operation of the host platform beyond its intended out of service date.Programme included working closely with reliability and safety engineers to analyse the data collected in order to define a critical strip down and analysis process. The identification of units in the field with the most number of flying hours were retrieved and stripped down to this process to confirm the analysis assessments were sound.

Independent Peer Reviewer during the certification of the Harrier Stores Management System. Entrusted by the Safety and Certification lead to analyse, review and question certification evidence presented for the declaration of design. Worked closely with systems and software engineers to understand the evidence presented in making the certification statements.

Lead engineer and systems engineer for the Tornado Armaments control System Test set. Included technical management of the sub system requirements for a major subcontract element of the programme.

Hardware Lead for all test equipment and rigs relating to the Tornado ADV Missile Management System. Responsible for a team of engineers designing and developing upgrades to support the PS8 Prime Equipment system update.

Hardware Lead for the Eurofighter Armament Control System

Technical lead for the Video Recording System programme for Tornado. Responsible for technical management of systems, hardware and software engineers during development and integration of a six channel multiplexed video recording system. Also responsible for the development of the associated ground replay facility.Key role in the environmental qualification activities relating to the video recording system.Developed the PC based burn in test system including the generation of the burn in test software written in Pascal.Concurrently managed the Tornado Computer Loading System programme and associated data module preparation facility.Key role in the environmental qualification of the product including redesign activities and product improvement changes.
