Currently freelancing for UKHSA Test and Trace team as a Commercial Lead (International Inbound). Fascinating work with a fantastic team that have been at the coal face of public procurement fighting Covid-19. Joined in July after 5 months with MOD US Visiting Forces team (another great team and a new public procurement experience). This followed the end of my ten years at FCO Services (one of the happiest and most rewarding periods of my 40 years in Procurement). Despite the cliches about the public sector you get to realise very quickly there there are an awful lot of committed, experienced and professional people working for the government and local authority's and it's been a great 10 years learning new skills and experiences as well (I hope) as sharing some of the many skills and experiences learnt within the private sector to colleagues I have met along the way.
