Also co-ordinated the Extended Project Qualification's delivery across the college, ensuring a consistently high level of organisation was met to enable all students to produce strong projects.Additionally, in September 2018, established a new Media-focused teacher training scheme as part of Teach South East's suite of courses. Also had pastoral experience as a personal tutor, first to 20 AS students, and then to 25 students ranging from Level 2 to A2 students. Provided careers guidance, UCAS support (including course selections, Personal Statement drafting, and Reference writing) and emotional support where appropriate. Also tracked students who were not performing as expected – saught guidance from Senior Staff and met with parents where appropriate. Additional achievements included being hand-picked by Vice Principal to be part of 5-person ‘Equality & Diversity’ team, which actively promoted best practices across the college and organised two day trips that were hugely successful in their popularity with students, as well as being the sole male member of staff on the department’s trip to New York in February 2011. Planned, taught and assessed 2 classes a week – each lasting 3 hours. Both groups were part of the BTEC Level 3 ND in ‘Media Production’. The first group was a Year One class teaching ‘Media Industries’, consisting of 23 students between the ages of 16-35. The second group was a Year Two class teaching ‘Film Studies’, consisting of 9 students between the ages of 17-20.
