• Management and leadership of 12 community based services across 2 centres in Aston and Shard End.• Direct line management of 9 staff and over 20 volunteers.• Lead on the systematic review of services leading to a complete team restructure including redundancy and staff recruitment. • Successfully tendered for and won numerous contracts for delivery including Talent Match, UK Online IT Training, HMRC Benefit Advice, Job Centre Plus employment support and Locality Community Organisers.• Creation of an organisational wide Case Management Database (iizuka) which tracked and monitored individual client pathways across multiple projects and services, leading to accurate outcome based impact reporting.• Designed and rolled out an organisational triage service called Welcome Point which enabled every contact to count through effective initial assessment and internal signposting, creating a full holistic wrap around services for individuals accessing support.

• Management and Strategic Leadership of the organisation with 11 staff and up to 50 volunteers.• Proven ability to stably lead an organisation through large variation of income, seeing periods of rapid growth and decreasing activity, with annual income variations from £100,000 to £230,000.• Increased and developed board membership to grow skills base and diversity to be representative of the community we served.• Carried out one of the largest local LGBT Health Needs Assessments with around 900 responses from the LGBT communities of Derby and Derbyshire. Results of which drove transformational change within the organisation to shape services to meet identified need and secured Big Lottery funding to develop LGBT Health and Wellbeing Services in Derby.• Carried out ground breaking research into the level of LGBT Domestic Abuse in Derbyshire and the results of which were used to influence Domestic Abuse commissioning and develop services to meet the needs LGBT people, including the creation of a male victim domestic abuse service.• Creation of an LGBT Quality Standard to develop organisations to meet the needs of LGBT employees and service users. Reviews took place at Derby Hospital Foundation Trust, Derbyshire Community Healthcare Trust, Derbyshire Police, housing associations and a number of voluntary sector organisations.• Had a seat on numerous City and County Boards and advisory groups to raise LGBT issues and challenge practice.• Chaired the County and City LGBT Forum, a group created of Public, Private and voluntary organisations to share best practice and develop shared services for LGBT people.• Chaired the regional LGBT Network based of CEOs and Manager of LGBT organisations across the East Midlands.

• Built and grew an income generation arm of the organisation selling specialist training and consultancy services to the public, private and voluntary sectors to improve service delivery for LGBT people and tackle inequality.• Designed LGBT Awareness training package which was accredited by OCN.• Created and rolled out a range of community based training to develop key skills, increase employability and improve the health and wellbeing of LGBT people.• As lead for workforce development I designed in house training for staff and volunteers to improve quality.

• Managed the roll out, in South Derbyshire, of a major, high profile programme to improve the health of individuals designed to reduce avoidable health inequity.• Unique to South Derbyshire I created a Volunteer Health Champion role which supported the Health Trainer programme through peer led, community development targeting minority and excluded communities.• The programme reached the most at risk populations in South Derbyshire most notably I successfully engaged with the Gypsy and Traveller communities of South Derbyshire and built trust to become the first male worker (in South Derbyshire) allowed into a women’s refuge to work with victims of Domestic Abuse.• As part of the programme I identified that due to the rural nature of South Derbyshire it was a challenge for individuals to access fresh fruit and vegetables and developed a fruit and veg co-op that successfully became sustainable through the income generated.

• Increased community engagement through the creation of community based support groups across the region with membership rising 3 fold in many of the sessions.• Created innovative services to take sexual health information direct to target groups through direct outreach.• Increased sexual health awareness and condom use in LGBT communities through developing creative Health Education Campaigns across the region.

• Managing the Sexual Health and HIV prevention services in South Staffordshire I was responsible for the management of 4 staff across a number of services including a Youth group, Outreach and Community development services.• Transformed outreach services moving it from a position of high risk to a performing, structured and quality service.• Development of volunteer opportunities to increase capacity to meet increasing demand for services.
