Andy is involved in all aspects of patent and trademark practice, including registrability searches and opinions and the drafting and prosecution of trademark and patent applications. He also has experience in litigation matters before the Supreme Court of British Columbia and the Federal Court of Canada. Andy works with a broad range of clients including companies in the food and beverage, kitchen appliance, apparel, real estate development, and biotechnology industries.Prior to attending law school, Andy obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of British Columbia with Honours in Physiology and a Minor in Microbiology and Immunology. As part of his degree, he conducted research in the field of obesity and type 2 diabetes (Diabetes Mellitus) and authored a thesis titled "Investigations into the Presence of Leptin in Pancreatic Islets". Andy continues to remain interested in developments in biotechnology.Andy also worked as a Combat Engineer with the Canadian Forces Army Reserve for over a decade. In his spare time, he enjoys playing volleyball and softball.
