As a child I never recall thinking, "When I grow up I want to be a _______!" As I have become a "grown up" (if such a thing truly exists) I realize that I'm not motivated/excited by any specific industry, job function, or title. What does get me excited is having hard problems to solve while surrounded by smart, motivated people. One of the most valuable characteristics I bring to my career (and employers) is fungibility. I rely on data to inform business decisions, have a strong sense of ownership, and am eager to deliver results. I thrive in an environment where I am able to create and/or improve a process/approach and drive scalability through automation. I have had the great opportunity of working at Amazon since 2011. In that time I have learned a tremendous amount about the importance of speed, innovation, and understanding risk to the success of an organization. I will always have a thirst to learn more and will always entertain opportunities to broaden my experience and have an impact on an organization.
