My industry experience spans both design consultancy and on-site construction. I love what I do but I am very conscious of the climate impact on the world that the construction/operation of buildings and infrastructure has (39% of global annual C02 emissions!). So I started Net Zero Projects to be part of the solution. Minimass is the brand name of the first project: a line of new designs for 3D printed concrete structural elements aimed at reducing cost AND carbon for construction. The idea of doing more with less has to be the starting point for all designers looking to a low carbon future.Having been through the innovation loop several times, I can use ideas and techniques from one discipline or subject area and apply them in a new way elsewhere. Strong technical skills provide the foundation but curiosity and perseverance generate my ideas.

Net Zero Projects brings my design philosophy to life: use the right material, in the right place. No more, no less. We are using 3D printed concrete to build the next generation of structural elements. It is possible to realise huge reductions in embodied carbon, through design and optimisation, today.

Structural design as part of an integrated architecture and engineering team. From design advice at concept stage to detailed analysis and delivery of constuction projects all over the world. Founder and Creative force behind Logbook, logbookapp.io
Logbook was designed to be the best way to automate communication betwen the construction site and the design office. It created a new method of sharing information, such as sketches, site photos, punchlists (snagging) without duplication, using a very light digital footprint. Markups, photos, comments etc could be associated with specific Revit elements.
