Undergraduate Researcher
CurrentI first connected with this lab through the Scott Undergraduate Research Experience program. Through this program, I got the opportunity to develop an analytical pipeline to identify PFAS in contaminated water. While developing the analytical pipe, I got the experience of using Agilent Mass Hunter, mass spectrometry, and Microsoft Excel. I also presented my work on the analytical pipeline at the Scott Undergraduate Research Experience Poster Fair.I also got to work on the Chevron Large Soil Column Biosensor project. I was responsible for injecting, draining, and sampling the large column to measure methanogenesis from a mixture of molasses and lake water. While sampling, I got the experience working with multiple lab analytical tools, such as multimeter probes and gas chromatography.Currently, I am the lead for sampling the methane bio-barrier field project.
