Senior Systems And Executive Support Officer
CurrentEducational Performance Services (EPS) monitors and measures student outcomes in the pre-compulsory and compulsory years of schooling including achievement against the national benchmarks established under the National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN). It is also provides state-wide support and advice for teacher assessment and reporting against the standards of the Tasmanian Curriculum and the Australian Curriculum as it is being progressively implemented by schools. It is directed towards Tasmanian compliance with national assessment program requirements, national reporting for the schooling and training sectors and monitoring and reporting on the educational accountability information required for specific purpose programs.EPS is also responsible for corporate reporting and facilitating the collection, storage and utilisation of student and school data.ResponsibilitiesParticipate in the development and maintenance of Section databases and other information systems;Provide high level support and participation in the conduct of the Section’s data gathering, data analysis and reporting responsibilities and report provision as required;Contribute to the development, implementation and maintenance of data systems, uniform data standards, effective data exchange strategies, the integration of data systems and related tasks as required;Liaise with schools and other departmental offices as required;Manage the practical resourcing, completion and financial accountability aspects of EPS projects and programs;Provide high level advice to senior management through detailed reports, briefings and presentations;Assist in the development and management of appropriate control and accountability systems for EPS assets including assisting with the preparation of budgets and maintaining inventories.
